Team Cedar Grilling Parrot Sticks
INGREDIENTS
SWEET FINISHING BBQ SAUCE
- 1/4 C water
- 1/2 C ketchup
- 2 Tbsp white vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp chili seeds
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- Dash Jamaican curry
CHICKEN WINGS
- 12 whole chicken wings
- Cedar Grilling Rib Rub
- 2 tbs canola oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 12 wooden skewers
SWEET FINISHING BBQ SAUCE FOR DIPPING
- Cedar Grilling Rib Rub
- 30 ml (2 tbs) dark brown sugar
- 30 ml (2 tbs) sweet paprika
- 15 ml (1 tbs) fresh ground pepper
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) cayenne pepper
- 5 ml (1 tsp) onion powder
- 30 ml (2 tbs) kosher coarse salt
- 5 ml (1 tsp) garlic powder
- 5 ml (1 tsp) celery seed
PREPARATION
SWEET FINISHING BBQ SAUCE
- In a saucepan, combine all bbq sauce ingredients. Simmer and stir uncovered for about 10 minutes.
CHICKEN WINGS
- Skewer whole wings from tip to drummette.
- Lightly rub canola oil over skewered wings and sprinkle with Cedar Grilling Rib Rub.
- Lightly coat wings with cornstarch.
- Grill at medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes turning frequently.
SWEET FINISHING BBQ SAUCE FOR DIPPING
- Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth.
ASSEMBLY
- Serve wings with Sweet Finishing BBQ Sauce for dipping.
